1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Contacts & Connections: Conversations with Industry Pros

The Contacts & Connections networking session is an opportunity for students to meet and talk with over 50 professionals, many of whom are alumni of OLAPC colleges and universities. Knowing that other graduates of liberal arts colleges are involved in interesting careers is an especially rich source of information and career advice, organizers of First Avenue are especially excited about the diverse set of professions, workplace roles, and organizations represented. Students should review the names and research the organizations and industries represented to formulate questions and prepare for networking conversations with these professionals. These professionals are not officially representing their employers or specific employment opportunities, but rather providing unique and valuable insights into the nature of the work they do, the organizations and industries in which they are engaged, and how they found their way into them.
